first visit-first impressions
when i read the book i thought umuofia was a bit more technology advanced, somehow i thought there were more civilized, but as i visit umuofia in the web page, i realize i was completely wrong, the town was much more rustic than i spected.
the people was much more interesting than i thought, also i wanted to talk to those people ask them how life was in the town. i tought characters were more brute, and ready for war, but as i saw that i did notice that they are a community with rules and believes.
when i visited the evil forest, i saw it was a normal forest like all of the others but i had something special on it, the people that were living there, they were the sick elders and some young people, form what i have read i thought it was a forest with monsters, wild animals willing to eat whatever they find, but no, it was completely different from what i tought.
this visit change my whole perspective of the town umuofia.
An interesting and enlightening experience. Use this information to inform your character work this week. How would Okonkwo think and act in this environment? Did you see an image that made you think of him? How would he feel in the Evil Forest?
